DESCRIPTION


The first part of the warm-up phase includes floor exercises based on the Pilates method to activate and strengthen the centre - the abdomen and lower back - the so-called powerhouse. This is followed by contemporary dance exercises in a standing position and finally diagonal dance sequences in space that allow us to savour the creativity and joy of movement together with the music.

Previous knowledge and experience required?

Some familiarity with bodywork is welcome, but even more the desire to get involved, experiment and dance!

Please wear two pairs of non-slip socks or slippers or light trainers

WHO IS IT ADDRESSED FOR 

To lovers of dance and theatre who, through the exploration of movement, wish to deepen their work with their body as a means of expression and creative communication.

Necessary skills?
A certain familiarity of working with the body is welcome combined with the desire to get involved, experiment and dance!


DESCRIPTION

Key words of Cristiana's lessons are rooting and lightness, energy and quality of movement, play and creativity.

In the first part of the lesson we will warm up the body with exercises derived from contemporary dance, yoga, qi gong, feldenkrais, both on the floor and standing, immediately putting ourselves in relation to the space and the other companions. 

In the second part we will enter that unknown territory which is improvisation and (almost) instantaneous composition.
We will train attention and listening to oneself and others, to achieve that essential openness of doing theatre.

"Tools" will be proposed that will allow the participant to experiment, through a personal poetics of movement, with their own dance and compositional language.

Voice work can also be integrated into lessons from time to time.
